The average healthy adult gets roughly 1 to 2 hours of deep sleep per 8 hours of nightly sleep. or that I'm eating too much sugar and not exercising enough, so my body doesn't have that natural good kind of exhausted feeling you get from regular physical activity, which helps you sleep like a baby. It doesn't help that my brain is understimulated and sort of compulsively addicted to dicking around, clicking links, etc. Overall, the researchers found that sleeping less than 4.5 hours and more than 6.5 hours a night alongside poor quality sleep was associated with cognitive decline over time. I do, and I used to think "well that's just my sleep cycle" and figured I was doing fine with it.
